In practice and when the War Commander unit is continuously firing at enemy targets, there's no difference between the two, except for when you're using Jericho's tactic: the Rapid Fire tactic has zero effect on Purifiers & War Commander Ardra.

Or you can just get the harder ones. Or you can buy them with War Commander medals. There are a lot of choices. Make a choice, play the War Commander game. Or sit around the War Commander forum yelling "WE WANT MOAR" and hold your breath until someone decides to simplify
